That being said, my weight gain is stalling again. Been hovering around 170 for a while now. Usually under that slightly. I don't think I need to up my calories again just yet tho. I would like to be 180 by 2016, that might not be a realistic goal, but fuck it, were dreaming big. Whats your height? Maybe you're already close to your genetic max, hard to say why you're plateau-ing without knowing your plan, the weights you are using and the exercises you're doing etc. Whats has helped me to get to the next level is doing the big lifts with a 5x5 plan, which means deadlift, shoulder press, squat etc 5 reps 5 sets. I found out that after a while the usual 8 reps 4 sets regime did not not cut it anymore, at a certain level you have to drop repetitions and up your weight dramatically. I only do a handful of isolations with a 8 reps 3 sets regime anymore, most of the big lifts I'm doing follows the 5-6 reps 5 sets plan. Of course I'm talking about strength here, but my muscle mass has also significantly increased of course, there is no strength increase without some muscle mass increase. Currently I'm starting to experiment with a 4x6 plan. Lets see how it will work out for me. *edit* And in case of a plateau swapping out exercises to keep the plan varied will help. As soon as your exercise plan stalls you will stall as well. My height is 5'8(173 cm). I really don't think I am nearing my genetic max, I have only been lifting seriously for a bit over a year now, is it possible to near your cap so soon? I thought that took years and years. I am thinking maybe it might be time to switch things up a little bit with my movements. And perhaps up my calories again in a week or two. Tho I am at 3,037 a day now, and struggling with that.
