That's how you get shitty publishers like EA that go around buying up companies for only their IP and then liquidating the studio. It's also why you get bad labor practices such as forcing employees to work over 100 hours a week at times.

Idk about the other positions but I know at the day, they will hire you if you are good. Tech interviews are usually intense because you have to prove yourself. It's not as simple as getting a call then ending up on the team because of your characteristics, you will most likely have to prove yourself.
