EA are well known for using minority groups as a shield to deflect criticism. This is just more of the same. I doubt they truly care but it's good to play up the rhetoric early so SJWs and the press will defend them when Battlefront comes out and it's a train wreck.

I wonder how they'll work that one. Maybe include a gay stormtrooper so they can call all of the critics homophobic?

And oh will it be one hell of a train wreck. I have no faith in that game. But if that lightsaber combat is on point that'll be cool. Still waiting on the next Jedi Knight game for that very reason.

Uhm, yes, no shit. Happens all the time. You can miss out on a job your qualified for if the person doing the hiring doesnt like you, or if they are having a bad day, or if they have diversity quotas to fill. At the same time, an unqualified person can get a job by being a good talker, dumb luck, or an unfair connection of some kind. This has happened since the beginning of the human race, and will continue to happen.

Welcome to earth, where life is not always fair. EA will say whatever they think people want to hear so they can keep making money. If they think spouting diversity nonsense will get them paid they will say it.

Ah, well I'll be damned. And all this time I thought EA just hated white males. Nice to see they'll be forcing other demographics to work a hundred hours a week to produce assets for games in a studio hundreds of miles from the director. Before now, their hiring practices just seemed unfair. Of course, some people are going to whine because a few less white males are going to be hired, but really, Peter Moore is doing the white males who get passed over because of these changes a favor.
