I never played any of the other Borderlands games, so I never really felt drawn to this one very much, despite me having played most of the other TellTale titles (still got to finish GoT, "no" to Minecraft). I'd played the demo, which was the beginning of Ep 1, and wasn't sold on it. Then two days ago I randomly stumbled upon the ending song from Ep 5, liked it a lot, read two unspoilery comments about how much people loved the game and decided to just buy it. And, well, let's say I was kind of dead at work today because for some reason the sun was already coming up again when I finally got an hour or two of sleep. I wanted to juuuust start playing Ep 3, but things escaleted and I finished the whole thing. My only problem worth mentioning was probably that I'd have liked a somewhat bigger introduction to Handsome Jack before he "joins the team" - I actually didn't recognize him when he first appeared. But that was the one and only time I felt at a disadvantage for not having played the other games. Overall however I liked the game a lot, which I didn't expect like that at first. The characters are just great, the setting and the story interesting and memorable. The mix of over-the-top humour, genuine character drama and insane action is really well done, and then there's also the extremely cool soundtrack. And the last episode has got to be my favourite TellTale finale aside from TWD S1. Nothing against TWD/Michonne and the Batman project - but damn, please give me TFTB S2! I need to get through the episodes again so I can get the exact team I want which includes Zer0, Athena and Springs That ended up being my exact team (though Springs came in as a substitute).
