This goes to Yang Wenli too who lead millions in a war of idealism. They're ideals I agree with but perhaps alternatives could have opened in the future. However I wouldn't go as far as to call Mueller and Wahlen incompetent. Bittenfield? Probably, but Bittenfield is an excellent tool so its the fault of the user to use a hammer to screw a light bulb. It's also why I love Oberstein and it's a shame he and Reinhard never got enough screen time together. They balance each other's flaws perfectly.

Though regarding Oberstein--as I've said before--him running a "my way or the highway" policy is annoying and destructive, since he has a habit of indirectly telling everyone how idiot and naive they are, which creates needless internal hostilities. But still, loves them both to bits.
