A most interesting find that reminds me of LucasArts' The Dig. You play an archaeologist who freely roams between moons trying to decipher your way through an ancient mystery. Undoubtedly, the translation mechanic in the game is one of its greatest appeals, but so is the intricate history woven into the many places you visit. The game even provides you with a timeline where you can place all of your discoveries and thus uncover the true history of the Nebula, though the UI is admittedly a bit clunky. The visuals are not particularly great, but I soon forgot all about them thanks to its gripping story (I couldn't stop playing until the end). The game's got a few bugs that the devs are ironing out as I write this, and hopefully they'll tune the (underwhelming) quick travel mechanic (quite) a bit. I mean, traveling between worlds is nice, and the music helps, but you do get tired of it after a while. It's definitely a game where I would recommend at least a second playthrough (there's NG+ where you get to keep all the words you've previously learned, plus you're offered new translations) so you can uncover new things. Indeed, I'm on my 2nd playthrough right now and one conversation with a character I hadn't previously had unlocked a new avenue to investigate. The game took me 12+ hours to beat, but there's enough content here for a second run. The soundtrack's not half bad either. Definitely recommend it if you're a fan of point-and-click adventure games or if you want to feel like an actual (or more accurate than Lara and Indiana at least) archaeologist.
