Skyrim let you create your own character, and you had a ton of choices when you leveled up. DA:I made a character for you, and you got to pick what the character looked like. that's it, really. Very few options when leveling up too. I wonder what happened to that bit Laidlaw said before release "The key word for DA:I is customization". Yeah...right. Put different colours on your outfits.... to be fair DAI does have a lot of customization....for your items what about the character? what the fuck happened to attributes? what if i want to play a mage with high constitution? Bioware said "you wanna be a mage you gotta be a glass cannon, deal with it" DA:O did it right, really. You could use the stats to make your character more unique. If you wanted Morrigan to be able to use a plate armour, you could. I am fully aware that DA:O was in no way a perfect game. But it was the foundation of a franchise. When you have a foundation, you build on it. bEAware did the opposite. they removed more and more option and dumbed things down. When they should have just added more classes, weapons, races, and backgrounds for each game. It is usually how rpg series work. Used to, anyway.
