The Fellowship of the Ring was released today, 15 years ago. Too a lot of people on here that is half a lifetime ago, or more. I remember being extremely hyped up for the movie. And damn did that one deliver on its hype too. I dare say the first movie, especially, was overwhelmingly good. A perfect movie, really.

So it's entirely possible they could do movies ofut of sections of the SIlmirillion. The Fall of Gondolin would be amazing to see on the big screen.
