A violent intelligent AI is the worst evil possible that can bring the destruction and end of human species. Terminator anyone?

Until a proper neural interface can be achieved, the simple input lag between a human operator and the machine means that in a combat environment where splitseconds and miniscule differences can decide the outcome, a machine controlled with an AI that suffers from negligible lag between plan/intent to realizing the action means a significant advantage.

And with a sufficiently large data pool to draw combat scenarios and optimal actions/reactions from (provided enough processing power exists to accomplish the feat without falling behind and squadering the reaction time advantage), a human operator's advantage from thinking ahead of mathematical predictions is decreasing ever more until the only determining difference is the time it takes to act and react.

Of course, until we actually develop data drives and processors with enough space and performance to put a full AI into each individual drone, the latter are mostly limited to networked systems, meaning that if you dump enough signal interferences into the sky around that thing, any on-board storage and computing capacities will be severely limited and even with instant reaction times won't hold a candle to a properly trained human operator. And that kind of technology is still far off in the future.

Sorry, but I don't think Alpha is as far off as some people think.

Well, thankfully we don't have to worry about that with Alpha. My primary concern is the inevitable abuse of technology like this. We've already seen what happens when the CIA is left to its own devices & their disgusting use of Drone strikes. 

We can't help but abuse this technology.
