It certainly does for me, so please, please do! Though you finally got me to go and watch it and I'd say its at least functional. I don't think it spends enough time on it to capture quite the same (dare I say it) immersive vibe the VN projection does, and it rushes through things a bit. I kinda liked being able to sit back, dim the lights and at my own pace get as into the projection as the junker does, as silly as that maybe sounds.
They do some cool stuff with the animation, what with the junker imagining the second half of the projection, and seeing his reactions is a nice addition too. Though how well they communicate the impact it has on him in the VN without that context is one of my favourite bits about it.
The VN rendition I could probably read over and over, but its just 'ok' here. Still, it managed to get me teary eyed again, so it must be at least half decent. X3 I'm going to save my thoughts on the VN moment there until I can properly talk to you because I have a fair bit I want to say about that entire chapter and how much weight it has. I will say this, it did get me teary eyed and emotional though. I might check it out in the anime soon too X3 just that scene in particular I want to see. It's a shame because I think it could have potentially been even better then the VN if done right. Yeah, though I won't be judging it by it too harshly. Its been functional enough so far and that scene is too. Its just hasn't quite the same 'magic' as the VN rendition does, so to speak. That and after all, one of my problems with that scene particularly comes down to format after all, its simply not something they can really replicate by condensing the scene down into one episode. Otherwise, I'll be waiting patiently then! That and I'll maybe try and let you get a word in edge ways when we do talk. ;) |
