CPR is really on a whole other level compared to BioWare right now. I think it's fair to say they are where BioWare was when they were in their prime. I'd say they are even better, to be honest. Even though I like some Bioware games more than I like The Witcher games. Bioware seems to be at their best when they aren't using their own lore. Baldur's Gate and Kotor, for example. They had to strictly follow Lore someone else had made beforehand, and could just focus on the story and the characters. In DA and ME, where they have their own lore and such, they have already messed up on so many levels, really. Hm, interesting as CDPR also doesn't use their own lore and character but instead use that of Sapkowski's creation...while they still gave Geralt and co their own spin, they had far less work to do in some parts, while Bioware actually created a unique and interesting fantasy-world on their own. Which in my book at least is a bit more valuable than many people are willing to give Bioware credit for. In other words: let's see if CDRP is still as acclaimed and applauded when they release a game not based on pre-existing characters and worlds. Bioware truly is very good at creating memorable characters. Yennefer, Triss, Geralt, Ciri, Dandelion? All and more somebody elses' work... Ah whatever...the final DAI-DLC is hitting stores next week, and it seems I am gonna buy them all and play DAI once more through...while still can't bring myself to finish Witcher 3 (which at points feels so much more liek an interactive movie, than an actual game...probably the antithesis to the DAI-fetchquests but also so...dragging down at moments, and especially during a second playthrough....the whole Novigrad-questline made me more like watching a movie on PC than playing an RPG....)
