Characters I'd say are fairly on par with Inquisition, probably a bit better. Where it truly stands out in comparison to Inquisition as being clearly better is the side quests and having way more memorable minor NPC's.

You are the Bruce Wayne of Thedas and you have a good reason to hate Howe.

The rest seem to tie a lot into the sub-plots, really. Except the dalish elf origin story. That doesn't really tie much into anything.

Aug 3, 2016 23:47:09 GMT -6 Post by Deleted on Aug 3, 2016 23:47:09 GMT -6 So I got the Ultimate Edition of DAI for the price of 1 DLC (I'm feeling that this might be my policy with BioWare games thanks to the insane DLC prices) I decided to do Descent on Hard I've never once dropped down in difficulty but I'm feeling like I should just so I can enjoy it. It's not too difficult, it's the fact that it's way too dragged out. Battles with the Ogre and Emissary Alphas go on for way longer than any right they have. I got bored during those fights. I kid you not. BioWare needs to learn more damage and more enemy health does not equal more challenge. Hell a lot of devs need to.

Some of the tougher opponents had about 50 hp.

One of my favourite battles ever was bloody difficult not because bloated enemy health or sheer multitude of numbers but simply because I made a decision which got me literally in the middle of the battle between two powerful factions. There was no place nearby where I could take cover without risking someone being shot. So I had to run to the bottom of the map and struggle to keep alive as the stragglers came close to me. Eventually I survived but boy was that fun.
