28th December: Four calling birds
29th December: Five golden rings
30th December: Six geese
31st December: Seven swans
1st January: Eight maids for milking cows (I hope you have some cows)
2nd January: Nine dancing ladies
3rd January: Ten leaping lords
4th January: Eleven pipers
5th January: Twelve drummers
Yes I am aware that is is all metaphor for the birth of Jesus Christ.
However a more literal interpretation could lead to a very extravagant Christmas indeed.
