We live in a world where people would rather cower and hide from problems instead of tackle them and fix them appropriately. So yes. To me closing comments is different from what's happening to the BSN. I mean, yes, it all relates to reducing the ways your audience can provide feedback, share creations, and engage in dialogue. There hasn't been dialogue with Bioware on the forums since the migration. So for NPR or another news outlet to close their comments section, that sucks, but basically it was "Here's something we're putting out there, respond to it," and people did, with the general level of assholery which is to be expected on the internet. But those outlets will still be putting out that content, you'll just have to find a different way to be a dick about it. What was special about BSN was that all of the content was user generated. And there's no way to replace that. Sigh... Maybe I'll head on over there and write a eulogy post. I hope Hillary's women armies will be better. I think you'll be disappointed. We really just play cards. Nother warning point removed, back at zero. Feels good even though at this point it doesn't matter. Honestly, it kinda makes me feel better too.
