Thanks for the replies guys. Buuuuuuut. Been given two different stories at my local gaming stores (both of which compete with are independent, they're not HMV or GameStop or something). One dude said you need a PS4 to actually use it. The other dude said you need a PSTVita to play Vita games on it. Soooooo how does this fucking thing work anyway? I thought it was just a mini console where I could download games from. If I can't use it on its own in Uni then there's really no point. Might as well just pirate it and buy the vita version to save my money and conscience. Both those guys are morons, and should go back to their shortbus before they open their mouths again. Just hook the tiny bastard up to the TV and you're off to the races. (Though get a Vita Memory Card. It'll save some headaches) You can play both digital and physical vita games since it has a slot. The only reason you'd need a PS4 is to stream games off it on another TV. And the Vita...can go in the trash where it belongs Source: I didn't waste my money on a vita. PSTV works fine.
