It would seem John Oliver the host of Last Week Tonight just purchased the combined debt of 9,000 Texas citizens & forgave their debt. The combined total is $15,000,000 USD. Apparently the vast majority of this debt was due to medical expenses . I'm pretty cynical, but I got to give him prop. That was hella classy even if he stands to make some financial gains off it.
