I had an idea of how The DC Cinematic Universe could do the Injustice storyline. So after the following films: The Flash Wonder Woman Solo Batman film Aquaman We do the Justice League trilogy. No phase 2. Just phase 1. The Justice League Part 1:
By the start of this film we see 27 superheroes all battle one of the major threats of the DC Universe. It could be any of the major threats.
The big threat is taken care of, and we see a huge celebration.
We then have a few scenes showing a lot of banter between a small handful of the members.
We only really focus on 4 characters: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and The Flash.
The Flash is inspired by Superman. After defeating Zod, The Flash views Superman as truly heroic person.
Batman is busy talking to Wonder Woman. He has noticed that the members of The Justice League have all become arrogant. Superman especially. Wonder Woman tells Batman that whilst this team may have big egos, these people are the only ones who can take on the major threats. She talks about how they were able to take on the big threat at the start of the film, but Batman is not convinced. He says the superheroes did not follow the plan and were very sloppy.
Batman is worried. He thinks that any of these superheroes could go rogue. If this were to happen, then they would have to be neutralised.
Thus he studies each of the heroes. Especially Superman. He draws up a document list of weaknesses that "even a child could exploit" as Batfleck so eloquently puts it.
Meanwhile Superman is becoming more and more cocky. The Flash doesn't pick up on this, but the other members of the Justice League are starting to notice.
One day one of Ra's Al Ghul's henchmen perform a heist on Batman's home and steal the documents regarding Superhero weaknesses. They weren't initially after this. They were after other Wayne Enterprise tech. However it turns out that Lex Luthor is paranoid about The Justice League's incredible power. Ra's Al Ghul realises that Lex Luthor would pay handsomely for this kind of information.
Lex decides to team up with Ra's Al Ghul to bring down the Justice League. The result, 19 the 27 superheroes are straight up murdered. Properly dead as in not going to be resurrected.
Superman is busy fighting Lex Luthor (who is in his Iron Man like suit from the comics) while Wonder Woman tears Ra's Al Ghul to pieces. You see because Wonder Woman is aware that Ra's Al Ghul is exploiting the Justice League's weaknesses, this actually makes Ra's Al Ghul very predictable. She of course is prepared for this eventuality because like Batman she is prepared for every situation. Ra's Al Ghul is slain. Superman on the other hand is struggling. Lex Luthor is really beating him badly. Fortunately for him the 6 superheroes band together to vanquish Lex Luthor.
After this confrontation Batman is thrown out of the Justice League. Because of him 19 members of The Justice League have perished.
Batman however doesn't even have the tiniest ounce of guilt. The true culprits were Lex Luthor and Ra's Al Ghul according to Batman.
After Batman is forced out, Superman is starting to grow further in arrogance. We see him and The Justice League do some superheroics together. Batman in the mean time tells Alfred that The Justice League is still a threat. Alfred thinks Batman is just being paranoid.
Justice League Part 2
This starts off much like the start of Justice League Part 1. The Justice League is fighting a huge alien threat however there are now 5 members left. In the last film 19 heroes died and Batman was thrown out. The Justice League is struggling because of their smaller numbers and Superman is not really helping matters. He is not following orders from Wonder Woman and instead decides to do his own thing. Then as a result of Superman not following the plan Cyborg dies. Wonder Woman gives Superman a good telling off. However Superman ignores her completely.
We see Superman's arrogance affect his life as Clark Kent. Lois Lane has had enough of being taken for granted. Clark throws a temper tantrum right back at her. He is shouting and yelling and his eyes start glowing red. He of course stops himself. After calming down he apologises. However Lois tells Clark that she is leaving him. She is frightened that the next time he loses his temper, she'll die. Superman tries to stop her, but Lois Lane pulls out a piece of Kryptonite. This does not deter Clark. For some reason the Kryptonite is not having the effect it should... Lois then tries to remind Clark about the hero he used to be. She asks Superman what has changed. Clark then let's Lois go.
The Justice League has now started recruiting some non super powered people. These are not superheroes but rather exceptional people from the Military, police and secret service. Wonder Woman introduces a new bunch of people to the team. Whilst the other members of The Justice League aren't thrilled by this prospect, they accept. Wonder Woman has that kind of commanding presence where people just do as she says. The Flash is not terribly fond of this and even voices his objection. However nothing can prepare The Flash for the next bombshell. Wonder Woman has decided that Superman must be forced out of The Justice League.
There is a lot of arguments within The Justice League. The members are growing more wary of Wonder Woman. So much so that they have become blinded to how out of control Superman is.
Meanwhile Batman has been trying to track The Joker for some time. He has gone missing. Batman reluctantly calls upon Superman to help out. Superman agrees. Batman notices something different about Superman. He seems distracted and not his usual self assured self. Batman (who at this point knows that Clark and Superman are one and the same) asks about this. Superman then tells Batman that Lois has left him. The one person who was loyal to Superman was now gone and it was all his fault. Batman isn't judgemental this time round. He tells Superman that The Joker has caused a lot of deaths in Gotham. He has to be stopped. Superman tracks down The Joker and arrives long before Batman does.
This is when Doomsday shows up. Superman is mad. The last time he saw Doomsday he "perished". So to avoid casualties, he flies Doomsday to outer space to fight in Earth's orbit. However when he has launched Doomsday into space, he blinks. When he opens his eyes he sees Lois Lane. She is dead. Turns out that Superman had breathed in some kind of mind control gas that caused him to see Doomsday instead of Lois Lane.
Superman then flies back to confront The Joker. By the time he comes back to Metropolis he sees that the city is no more. The whole place had been nuked. He soon finds The Joker and murders The Joker.
After some time moping in his fortress of Solitude, Superman decides to enforce his own brand of justice on the entire world. The incident with Lois wasn't what turned Superman into a villain. This was merely the straw that broke the camel's back. Superman had been arrogant enough to think that he'd make a great ruler for some time.
Superman goes to Lex Corp to find out if there is anything there that can secure his plan for world domination. Alas there is. There is a machine that can give ordinary humans similar powers to Superman (all be it not as powerful as Superman). He then recruits people from multiple Superman fan clubs to aid him in his plan.
The Justice League then takes on Superman with his new army of super powered fans. The Justice League loses. Badly. The Justice League is captured, because Superman wants to experiment on them. The technology that gave his fans super powers could grant Superman the powers of The Justice League. Of course Batman does not have any powers. Superman intends to brutally torture Batman.
We then see the vision scene from Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice.
The Flash horrified by what he is seeing, runs very fast. He has found a way to go back in time. He then tries to inform the past Batman about what is going to happen. Thus ends part 2.
The Justice League part 3
The first part of this film is just The Justice League escaping capture. Batman devises a plan of escape and for a change things actually go to plan for The Justice League. There is a lot of fighting between Superman's fans and The Justice League. The Justice League manages to escape, however Superman is nowhere to be found.
From part 2 we learn that Superman is no longer vulnerable to Kryptonite. In fact during the battle in part 2, all of Superman's weaknesses had been exhausted.
We see Superman go crazy with power, as his actions lead to every nation on Earth declaring war against him. So there are lots of scenes of Superman just laying waste to the entire military.
The Flash returns to his trip to the past. Turns out that The Flash had gone to the future as well as the past. He tells Batman that there is a way to beat Superman after all. However it is going to be very difficult. They are going to need the entire Green Lantern core to produce a powerful beam that will decimate Superman. One Green Lantern won't be enough.
However Batman realises that The Green Lantern core is currently busy fighting Parallax and Synestro. Batman says that there must be a way to amplify the Green Lantern ring to make it more powerful.
The team work together to come up with a solution. The Green Lantern fights Superman and even with the amplified ring, Superman is holding up very well. During this fight we see the other members of the Justice League get killed. At one moment The Flash has the opportunity to kill Superman, however he can't. The Flash sees Superman as a hero and he want's Superman to go back to being a hero.
Superman exploits The Flash's hesitation and laser beams him to death. The other members fall like flies leaving only Batman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern left. The three continually battle Superman until Superman dies. This is a close fight and in the conflict Batman perishes.
In the last scene Wonder Woman and Green Lantern are recruiting new members of The Justice League. Wonder Woman and Green Lantern have a discussion about what happened. What if they became crazy with power? Who would stop them? Wonder Woman then says "no one but ourselves".
The end.
