First and foremost: Best Thanksgiving Dinner I've had yet in 33 years. My grandma fucking killed it. And at 87, that's a pretty major accomplishment. Personally, I like duck and bison. Deer meat can come too. And I'm not sober. Duck is god tier. And I just found out my uncle is making delicious marinated deer backstrap (tenderloin) for Christmas, and I'm gonna fucking miss it. I am not a fan of hunting in general. I don't think I could kill an animal. And it's probably wrong for me to eat chicken, definitely wrong for me to eat pork, and super wrong for me to eat beef (which I nearly never do). But I like it. It's tasty. Anyway, I have family members who are very into hunting. Because I live in The South. That's the least of my fucking worries. Anyway, the point of this unnecessarily long-winded story is that at least my family always use what they kill. They don't trophy hunt, and there is something about that which gives gravity to our meal. I didn't go buy it at the fucking Whole Foods, which is what I usually do. It is the real deal. And deer are a nuisance animal that will be culled in hunts and stuffed around here, so I think it is slightly more respectful of their lives to be grateful for their sacrifice and pray to god that there's enough leftover for jerky (*ducks*). aye dam im grateful 4 da human race 4 allowin me 2 liv on dis planet n s/o 2 da dude who made dis forum i went 2 da bsn n saw off topic close i wus lyke omg who did dis tbh No. No way. For real? Please tell me it's the real GMagz and not a sad imitation. Edit: Also, very much not sober. Bourbon is delicious. And so is all the red wine I could find after I left Grandmas for lunch. There was seriously only a 1/4 inch of rum for me to pour in my egg nog to gird my loins.
