Takes a lot of courage to know when it's time to leave something behind when it's too stressful. I salute you, Vroom. Wish I had your strength. It wasn't really strength in my case. I was super stressed out and saw that Liam and Gravis were doing more than I was, so not only did I not want to be an admin, but I also felt that I didn't deserve it when I compared the nothing I was doing to the amount of work that Liam and Gravis were doing. Sure, I did a lot starting out, but around October, I feel that I started to do less and less, it wasn't very fair to them. You reacted maturely. When I got to the breaking point on my own community, I simply nuked it after everyone decided to move on in their lives, all of this could've been prevented if I simply left those boards in better hands and left. You did what I couldn't do, which is why I congratulate you. Hopefully you'll feel better soon since you'll have less stress on your shoulders. There are times when we simply need to "bow out" and give our place to better people. |
