I mean, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that this game is a throwback. By that, I don't mean its lack of innovation or storytelling progression. I mean it's a SINGLE PLAYER game (with RPG elements) which is a genre I am sure is dying a slow, tragic death. We all realize, on some level, that MP gaming is great, from a certain point of view. It can provide social & personal benefits, & can be a lovely hobby -- for a while. Inevitably, the trolls start coming out of the woodwork, making everything overly competitive/serious. I suppose its human nature. The law of entropy in a twisted, digital sort of way. But FO4 is not really the issue. The gaming community is the problem. We are not standing up for ourselves as consumers. Think of all the ludicrous AAA games released in the past few years; Assassin's Creed, Batman, Alien:CM, Watch Dogs, The Order 1886, Hardline, the list goes on & on. Now, of course not everybody has the opinion that these were COLOSSAL failures in almost every way. These people, however are either a bit over/under medicated or lying to themselves to alleviate guilt (cognitive dissonance) We, as paying customers, need to co-operate and DEMAND a better product from these goddamn corporations. They have the ability & means to produce INCREDIBLE experiences with INNOVATIVE, intelligent and interesting/challenging gameplay. Original ideas are not extinct. They haven't "used up all the resources", they are simply being allowed to make half-ass, unfinished, dumb products. They are getting away with charging $ for DLC that either isn't worth the cash or time to download because WE ARE LETTING IT HAPPEN. We keep paying for a new Ferrari and are settling for a 1990 Toyota Tercel. /rant Yo. My Tercel is great. I'm not sober enough to begin to want to try and read all of that, but I'll say this, which might agree probably most likely with this wall. I thought games were better before developers had a huge boner for online multiplayer. Like, before that, they actually had to make a proper fucking game before throwing it out there. Now you can make a shit single player experience, and then jack off all over multiplayer.
