I like Her Story myself -- There's a lot of depth to its investigative mechanics and psychological evaluations, which are more or less borrowed from the creator's previous title, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories; A flawed but decent game. It's at least better than L.A Noire's sloppy pretense of being a detective game. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishment is my favorite detective game thus far though.

Well, the thing about Her Story is that you choose yourself when you think you've got enough clues to clear the case. There's no 'must way' to solve it.

I'm not. TW3 deserved it as it showed you could have an open world crpg with fantastic graphics, animation and writing along with accomplishing what FO4 and thus Todd failed to do.

Even if x game didn't win a particular award it's not like the The Game Awards is the only ceremony that gives out those awards and recognitions, as there are plenty of other outlets that hand them out to various other games and developers that don't get as much press coverage or media attention so it's just people being salty for the sake of being salty.

Plus I feel like the GA's exist more for advertising the games they show for the holiday season anyway so personally I don't take it that seriously myself.

True, most people tune in for the game reveals and pretty much every magazine and website (as well as the more influential Youtubers) have there own Year end awards so it's more about who can get the most hardware at the end of award season.  I just find it funny how personal it appears some people take it when a game they want to win doesn't.

Well Geoff actually called them out on it where everybody then promptly booed Konami.

I'm pretty sure they can legally bar him from the awards since Konami owns MGS not Kojima. I'm not entirely sure on the law on such things in Japan though.
