According to the link I posted this does not seem to be true. I believe I've figured it out, but it was entirely different from what the link said (note it was from 2010). I have to manually go into the settings for each of the boards and I can change the permissions from everyone to members and staff, while leaving the viewing and accessing permissions enabled for everyone. That's the interesting thing, is that at no point would I get even close to using the Control and the minus key in conjunction in any of my even irregular activities.
