Guys if you haven't done so already, go check out the moon (between now when this thread is posted and give or take 45 minutes).
The earth is positioned exactly between the sun and the moon now, causing a lunar eclipse, which covers the moon in the earth's shadow. Because the earth's atmosphere breaks up the light that passes it, the moon still receives some light, but it's completely red. Therefor this phenomenon is also known as a 'blood moon'.
The blood moon will be very visible and easy to spot if you're in Europe. Not sure about the USA and Australia.
So if you're reading this right now and it's not over yet, go outside and check out the moon!
