Heir's toxicity aside, I don't have an issue with fiction tackling real world social issues. In fact that's one of the better uses of fiction, to do so by looking at it from a different angle that takes away our preconceived biases. Although I have to say, "mechanical apartheid" and "aug lives matter" just seem really on the nose. Aug lives matter maybe, since the movement is so new. But "Mechanical apartheid" seems to be a totally appropriate term based on what we've seen so far. And yeah nothing wrong with looking at issues through fiction as long as you're not being overly strident in tone.
