Evidence is pointing toward either Elswyr or Hammerfell for the Elder Scrolls 6. Each Elder Scrolls game since Morrowind has had clues for where the next game would take place. In Morrowind the Oblivion Gates opening was given mention as well as discussion of a plot to assassinate the Emperor. Oblivion contained multiple references to Skyrim such as: A dragon's claw shaped rock that literally pointed at the direction of Skyrim, Bruma having an enormous role in the story (it was Nord styled), mention of a potential civil war brewing in Skyrim and the Dragon Fires/Avatar of Akatosh appearing at the end. Living up to this tradition, Skyrim has a couple of references to Elswyr such as "I hear them cat people are moving south" and Bethesda even released a note after they finished Skyrim saying how they had much fun making it and hope to see there fans elsewhere. Of course, Hammerfell is also mentioned a few times in Skyrim like with the sidequest where they are hunting the fugitive, but I sort of believe this to be a misdirection as Oblivion contained a load of references to the Summerset Isles to throw us off for V. Furthermore, Elder Scrolls 6 might be coming out in 2018 as there is a potential reference to its title and release date in Fallout 4. Synths are usually designated something like AB-24, however one Synth has the designation A-2018. Why deviate so radically? It's a reference to something most likely. I'm betting the Akaviri are going to invade and unknowingly screw up the Thalmor's plans. They are very featured quite a lot in Skyrim. The whole Thalmor bit, and all. I'm thinking that won't happen until Elder Scrolls 7 or 8 and the reason why is that I realized that the first 4 Elder Scrolls were an arc of sorts (Septim bloodline arc). Therefore, Skyrim is probably the first of a new arc (the Thalmor arc).
