"Greetings, good sir. We were the group that requested to meet with you." "... How close are we talking, here?" The meeting over, the group leave the Hanseatic League hall to discuss amongst themselves."Six Florins! We can't turn this down. Too good of an opportunity." "Jack is right! We've also exhausted most of our funds already on new equipment. We need the money." Liam on the other hand, was less eager to make the trek."I-I don't know if this is such a good idea guys... It's so far away..." Pulling out a map, the scout points out to the rest of the group just how far they'll need to go to complete the quest."This is where we are now, and this, erhm, is where we need to go..." "We'd have to walk outside for a long time... I don't really like that..." Jack turns to Liam."So, Liam... you think this trek is impossible? Too difficult?" "Maybe... But I'm more concerned that it's a long way away for little reward." "Oh! I see. You may have a point there." "It's not too far away. Liam is just weak, Jack. We can do it, you and me. Without Liam if he won't come..." "No, I'd rather that we all stay together. I would never leave Liam behind, that's not my intention." " Hmph! Fine! But I'm heading towards the gate. You can meet me outside the city walls once you've all decided to find your balls! Men, honestly...!" "You people are crazy. But alright, we'll meet outside the city walls in an hour. So make sure you're all packed and ready to go." ... The group makes good time. They'd be able to find many small villages and hamlets to rest and replenish before reaching Rostock. Unfortunately, life doesn't always go to plan."Ahh, crap." "Rargh!!" As the Wild Boars charge at the group, OWA takes the lead and rushes them. The group exchanges heavy blows with the Boars, who are intent on killing everyone.Liam and Jack are able to double team one of the Boars on the flank, and quickly position themselves to flank the remaining Boars.Unfortunately, Lorn is gored by one of the boars and is flung to the ground. The party leader isn't at risk of dying (yet), but is unable to continue the fight.OWA stabs the boar through the neck, ensuring Lorn's safety.Leaving the last surviving boar in a perilous position. With the remaining VSN fighters ganging up on it, it soon falls to a myriad of cuts and stabs.Lorn gingerly gets up."Eh. I'll live. Unlike these boars." "I don't know what these boars were thinking. I mean, once they decided to charge at us, they were dead meat." "AHAHAHAHAHA!! Good one, Jack! You are so funny!!" "Y-yeah. Good one, Jack... That was, um, very, uh... funny...?" "Yes. 'funny'. Now let's get going." "Uhh, greetings fine gentlemen, how do you do? Would you be so kind as to let us pass by? We were wayla-" The Bandits close in, attempting to surround the wounded group. It was smart strategy.Unfortunately, they didn't count on the VSN group being so powerful. Liam and Jack make short work of the lightly clad Bandits on the flank. And they soon manage to surround the Bandits themselves.Unable to handle attacks from all sides, the Bandit leader goes down, leaving a behind single lackey with no means of escape.Liam and OWA piece the Bandit from the front and from behind simultaneously, bringing the battle to an end. They search the dead for anything useful, though all they find is cheap equipment. The two battles take their toll on the group however, as Strength sapping injuries begin to mount. They weren't in any immediate danger, but at this rate, they weren't going to last until Rostock."Yeah. We need to head back to town and get patched up." The others agree, no sense arguing the point when they'd underestimated how difficult it would be to get there.Limping their way back to Leipzig with little to show for their efforts, at least they got back home safely. But it'll be a long while yet before they build up the courage to try and leave town once more. Or face the Hanseatic League again, for that matter.
