As I stated a few days ago, I want to operate with transparency. Yesterday I messed up badly and found out about it today, since I strive to be transparent, I feel that my failing should be transparent too. I'm going to give some backstory before I get into exactly what I did. Some of you probably remember Impulse/Jehuty/Master of Gundams/Onemorefortheloonybin, I've stated that I'd ban him were he ever to make an account on the forums on the principle that I wasn't going to allow his toxic behavior to hit the forums. To give an example as to why I don't want Impulse here: Unknown Intrigue made a thread seeking support due to his uncle having cancer and was asking for people to pray, Impulse saw it necessary to state that no amount of prayer was going to save his uncle. Anyway, on to what I did. I had received word from a couple of users that Simeon might be Impulse and I decided to believe and act upon it without doing a thorough investigation. Yesterday I permanently banned Simeon, but today I was contacted by Simeon who calmly explained to me that he was not Impulse, therefore I have lifted the ban that I had made. I'm sorry Simeon and I'm sorry community of VSN for having such a bad lapse of judgement and for not doing a more thorough investigation. I failed you as both a friend and Administrator, I promise to be more careful in the future. This was a lesson that was hard learned and a mistake that shall not be repeated by me. I'd also like to state that the ban decision was entirely mine and was not even discussed with Liam, the blame lies solely with me. I figured that bringing attention to my fuck-up was the only way to show that I genuinely meant the apology that I sent Simeon in the PM and I also figured that it was the right and fair thing to do. As I said, I should be as transparent as possible. Again, I am sorry everyone. It's ok Vroom, I forgive you.
