Wind energy isn't necessarily good for humanity either, just ask the people in China living downstream from the mines where they collect the lanthanides that are used to make permanent magnets for wind turbines. Nuclear breeder power is where it's at tbh.

I hope Australia doesn't have any birds it likes, nor Scandinavia for that matter, cause they can count those as things getting chopped apart by these turbines.

Also shouldn't you be pushing solar power? It seems like it'd be more useful then erecting wind turbines for a place which doesn't have constant strong winds but does has a large supply of sun and open space.

Imo energy should be done on a region to region basis, using what would be .odt applicable for said region in terms of sources of energy.

One thing that bothers me about Labour and The Greens in regards to Climate Change however is their strong aversion to previous pushes for Nuclear Energy. I mean I can see why its not viewed in the same light as renewable energy to them but considering its much more likely to get conservative backing and thus be easier to implement back during its initial proposals in the Howard era and now I don't understand why they oppose it considering that inevitably results in more coal reliance and control of the market.
When they bring up Chernobyl and Fukushima as their reasoning due to fears of a similar scenario it just makes me cringe, they sound like the conservative uneducated fear mongers they constantly mock.

Don't let the above confuse you, I'm definitely in favor of Green Energy in Australia, Especially since all reputable economists agree that the market is heading that way anyway, but with idiots like Murdoch with majority control over our media it's unlikely that will happen anytime soon =( 

Well, pushing solar thermal would probably be better for the environment than wind, wind's dependence on rare earth mining, but solar thermal still kills enough birds to give the fossil fuel shills something to cry about.

All Hawaii needs now is heart energy and then they can summon Captain Planet.
