No, it isn't too emotional.
A while back, some seven or eight years ago, I lived on a farm out in the backwoods. Tons of forest all around, it was a sweet place to grow up. My mom had this little dog though, she was just a mutt, and one day we notice that she keeps running back and forth to the woods carrying things in her mouth. My dad goes to check it out, and it turns out that the things were newborn kittens. A wild cat had given birth to a litter out in the woods, but didn't survive the process, so our dog took the kittens as her own. Only one of the kittens survived, but my mother nursed it by hand until it grew up. To this day though, it's absolutely batshit-terrified of the outdoors. It won't even step into sunlight or sit on a windowsill. It always hides in closets and under beds. It's a crazy little bastard.
