It has its appeal, but mainly in comparison to to the Hallway fight.
I mean, Matt Murdock is a superhero, but his powers aren't based on being strong or invulnerable. He's only as tough as a tough human. You can see the strain it put on him to take on those goons and repeatedly punch them so they stay down.
But in Luke Cage's case, he just walks in, hits them once, and they fall down. Sometimes leaving a dent in the wall. They shoot at him, and he just makes a "Come at me, bro!" gesture. THIS is what you think when you hear "superhero takes on mob of bad guys" It played straight what Daredevil subverted.
