So I guess I can skip buying a Switch at least until they release whatever comes after Sword & Shield and fix this bullshit. Because fuck not being able to transfer a bunch of the trained pokemon I have lying around from ORAS and SM/USUM, since now we're apparently going to flat out not be able to use a ton of pokemon from the previous generations. Not just that they're not catchable in the wild, but that they're flat out not in the game at all and unable to be transferred.

Oh and apparently Megas aren't going to be a thing anymore AT ALL, so my Mawile and Lopunny (among others) are back to being useless even if they do end up being able to be transferred. Great.

I can only hope the shit storm is big enough to make them rethink this.

Probably won't, though. Instead they'll do something like cut the Charmander line from the games and then 3-4 years from now release a trailer for Pokemon Bow or whatever the fuck where they at the end reveal a Charizard THAT CAN MEGA EVOLVE WOOOOOWWWWWWW SO COOL AND UNIQUE PLEASE GIVE US ALL YOUR MONEY FOR THIS NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN AWESOME FEATURE

But at least they still got the really important ones in.

Meaning Ditto and Magikarp.

They should probably cut all the rest to be honest. Just keep those two and make "Pokemon let's go Ditto" and "Pokemon let's go Magikarp".

And then you can use your Ditto to turn into another Ditto, who then turns into a Magikarp. And use Splash attack.

And then the champion will give you Charizard after you beat him. "OMG, I'm such a huge Charizard fan. I'm such a fan that I didn't feel like I was good enough to use him, but you have beaten me so take him."
