Have this game but have yet to play it.

The game itself doesn't have much replay value. I hadn't played in months when I picked up Dark Arisen, and I probably would have finished it and put it on the shelf without a second thought if it hadn't been for the old off-topic thread. It's not the game that kept me interested, it was the people.

Huh. Imagine that.

I would like to see them expand on the lore in the next game, rebalance the classes and most importantly improve the screenshot feature.

Yeah, DD has something for everyone. You can romance that beautiful jester, a 7-year old girl, her father - a man I believe is about 30% walrus, an armorer that calls you a cunt every time you enter a menu too quickly, I could go on.

...wait, who are the people you can't get as your beloved? Duke Edmun... the Elysion, uh... the seneschal (Alynna tried to seduce him)... I think the people you rescue from cages... there aren't many.

Sadly, most NPCs are incredibly boring. Only a handful have any sort of story behind them.


In other news, I finally - finally - ended Material Witness. I have to beat the game with High Brontide, so I had to drop Barnaby off. He didn't want to leave.

I thought I'd somehow screwed up and went to the wrong beach again, but I just never went close enough to those stools near the center.
